2023 Q1 Newsletter

Since 2023 started, we’ve been pretty busy! We’re proud of everything we’ve accomplished for both our customers and our company. Here are some of the highlights from our remarkable first quarter.

Pathway’s Booth at Northwest Remodeling Expo

This year, we participated in the annual Northwest Remodeling Expo alongside other leading industry professionals to showcase some of our latest and greatest design trends and remodeling innovations. We shared our experiences with many curious community members and highlighted some of our most popular services, including our green building, biophilic design, and energy-efficient innovations.

Our Booth at the Seattle Home and Garden Show

The Seattle Home Show is the Northwest’s largest consumer home show. Pathway presented an exhibit alongside hundreds of other builders and remodelers showcasing everything from landscaping, decorations, and the latest appliances. The Seattle Home Show has been around since 1939 and is coordinated by the same family ownership and management for four generations. We’re proud to participate in their tradition.

Employee Highlight: Kelley Stanton Joined Our Team!

In March, Kelley Stanton became the newest member of the Pathway family. Kelley serves as the Executive Assistant to Paul Kocharhook, and has always been interested in home design, architecture, and at-home organization. Prior to joining Pathway, Kelley worked for an online events company where she held many different titles, including Producer and Customer Care Manager. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg, and her two children, Ben and Kayla. She also has a passion for abstract art and interior decorating.

We Have Numerous Ongoing Projects

We have been working on multiple projects simultaneously, including a whole home model, a kitchen remodel, a classic Green Lake craftsman remodel, and three bump-out addition projects. In addition, we recently completed two major projects last quarter:

‘Modern Farmhouse’: A Whole House Remodel

ShelvingPassing from generation to generation over the years, this Burien farmhouse had seen remodel after remodel. Seeking modern features suitable for both aging in place and raising their granddaughter, the owners wanted to create something more cohesive and functional — while restoring the home’s original charm.

The new kitchen flows seamlessly into other living spaces, with modern cabinetry and detailed work maintaining the farmhouse feel. Other highlights include the primary ensuite bathroom, where we added a flush-entry shower, a classic black-and-white color scheme, and splashes of visual interest. Outside, we reimagined the porch, creating a functional and friendly outdoor space. The farmhouse is now a modern, healthy home that will serve this family—and future generations—for years to come.

‘Spring Is Here’: A Multiple Addition Remodel

ShelvingAfter 20 years in this home, the owners knew it was time for a refresh — inside and out — with a more functional kitchen, a more welcoming entryway, and more space for outdoor living. This revitalization went even deeper, however, with updates designed to create a more efficient home as well.

For the kitchen, we created clean, classic lines for the kitchen and enhanced the storage space by designing a pantry with butcher-block countertops, shelving, and additional cabinets. To create a more welcoming entry, we transformed part of the home’s attached carport, providing additional interior space. Outside, we crafted a new composite deck with railings that offers room to gather and connect with the natural surroundings, perfect for Northwest summer evenings. Is now a home that is ready for the next 20 years—and beyond.

We’re so excited to share more project updates later this year.
