Steven Chanthavisay

Steven has been building projects for most of his life, first working with his dad around the house while growing up in Tacoma, and then beginning his remodeling career as an apprentice and laborer at just 16 years old. The experience has served him well—he joined Pathway as a carpenter in 2017 before being promoted to Lead Carpenter in 2021.

Steven’s role requires him to wear a number of hats: In addition to the actual construction work, he’s a leader, problem-solver and organizer. He relishes the new challenges each project presents, and loves learning new things along the way.

When he’s not working on Pathway projects, Steven invents products to make home and camping life more pleasant—and consults on solar and renewable energy solutions. A resident of the Tukwila area, he enjoys traveling to different places around the world, speaking new languages, exploring outdoors, and spending time with his son, siblings, and significant other.
